At D.Bianco, we create sculptural lighting that blends natural materials, texture, and soft ambient light to elevate interiors. Each piece is designed and handcrafted in Sydney, combining materials such as timber, tactile fabrics, gemstones, and solid brass to bring warmth, earthiness, atmosphere, and a sense of well-being into a space.
The name D. Bianco reflects Fabio’s Italian heritage — Bianco, which means white and D symbolising “duo,” the partnership between husband-and-wife founders Fabio and Diana. United by a shared creative vision, the studio designs and handcrafts every piece locally in Sydney, Australia. Fabio, an electrical engineer and cabinetmaker, brings technical precision and craftsmanship, while Diana, with a background in art glass design, leads the creative direction. Together, we merge engineering and artistry to create lighting that feels both refined and expressive.
Our designs focus on sculptural, modern forms and organic, unique materials that create ambience and a sense of calm and intrigue within a space. At the same time, we aim to avoid exposed light bulbs, harsh lighting, and the use of plastics wherever possible.
A key part of our collection is our gemstone wall lights, crafted from hand-selected clear quartz and paired with solid brass mounts. Each crystal is unique, with organic inclusions formed over time, and when illuminated, it reveals a soft, ethereal glow that glass cannot replicate. These pieces are designed as a quiet, sculptural “jewel” within the interior, embodying a sense of timeless, subtle luxury.
